GENERAL FARM BASED DECEMBER VACATION PROGRAM INFORMATION

Each day Vacation Programs start indoors discussing the theme of the day and making a theme related craft to take home before we venture outdoors to explore the grounds on a fun farm adventure. In the winter we return inside to take off the chill by cozying up to a fire by the wood burning stove while listening to a story and having our snack. We will play a game outside or inside depending on the theme and/or weather.

In the classroom, while children are gathering for the program or are finished with their craft or snack before the group is ready to move on, there are interactive tabletop activities that are farm and theme related. These stations usually include an art station, a hands–on feel and touch table with magnifiers, a bird station with binoculars to watch the birds at the feeders, a group puzzle and a book and joke station.
